Born in the armpit of New Jersey and raised in the lush mountainous bosom of Colorado, Alex Vazquez knew he wanted to create entertainment since the first time he watched Saturday morning cartoons. His first credit was as a Camera Operator on "Natalie's Baby Videos: 1995." It's only available on VHS - one VHS that can be found in his mom's closet. His first "spec" script was a Gilligan's Island skit he wrote for his fourth grade talent show. He played the Professor. Thanks to a little luck and a few well-timed blackmail letters, Alex attended USC's School of Cinematic Arts and received his Bachelor's Degree in Film & Television Production. He specialized in physical production and Assistant Directing in order to follow his dream of working on film sets and telling everyone around him to shut up and listen to him. He has ADed some of the most ambitious student films at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He's scheduled and tamed werewolves, harness stunts, guns, knives, VFX, moving cars, and worst of all: rooms filled with children. Today Alex continues to work as an AD on music videos, short films, commercials and web series. He also directs plays and comedy shorts. He enjoys Japanese food, craft beer, literature, rap music, and arguing the merits of the live-action Speed Racer movie. Don't get him started.
