Jared Martin grew up in Davis, California before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a degree in Film & Television Production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Being homeschooled for a majority of his life, Martin feels that this alternative educational choice helped foster his interest in the art of visual storytelling, allowing him to fully live his life's passion. At the age of 14, he directed a documentary about Sudanese refugees crossing the Sahara Desert. The film went on to win numerous awards at film festivals nationwide, and he feels this film and its success caused him to fully realize and pursue his dream of becoming a filmmaker with conviction. While fascinated by all aspects of filmmaking, Jared's passion for the entire post-production process has always been strongest. Currently, Martin works as a freelance picture editor in Los Angeles. He notes that working with the GROOMING cast and crew has been one of the most rewarding filmmaking experiences of his life.
