Kimberly was born and raised in Santa Rosa, CA to two crafty and entrepreneurial parents. At an early age, she discovered the family video camera and began to make short films with her friends. Kimberly quickly realized that filmmaking involved many of her favorite things like creating costumes and writing stories, so she set out to become a filmmaker. In 2009, Kimberly enrolled at UCLA and worked for The Daily Bruin as a video journalist. In 2011, she transferred to USC School of Cinematic Arts to pursue a degree in film production. She has now worked on many student films in various capacities including producer, writer, costume designer and, most recently, production designer. Kimberly has also been fortunate enough to have two prestigious internships at DreamWorks Animation and Mad Men. The two things she loves most about filmmaking are being able to work with talented friends (like Grooming's crew!) and knowing that her evolving interests can always be incorporated into film.
